Description

The Kabco Rawhide is a popular model of manufactured home built by Kabco Builders, Inc., an American company founded in 2003 and known for its HUD-code compliant prefabricated homes. The Rawhide floor plan, often designated as the MD-26 series, is consistently highlighted as one of the builder's most sought-after designs, offering an appealing blend of comfort, sophistication, and affordability. It is commonly marketed as a luxurious retreat with ample space for modern living.

Design and Layout

The standard Kabco Rawhide (MD-26) typically features a double-wide floor plan with square footage ranging around 1,512 square feet,  The base model usually includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms, while the XL version offers four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

A defining characteristic of the Rawhide is its open-concept layout. This design seamlessly integrates the living room, dining area, and kitchen, creating a vibrant, centralized space ideal for family gatherings and daily activities. The interior often features 8-foot flat ceilings and may incorporate rustic-style elements, such as rough-cut wood trim and a rock or wood-burning fireplace in the living area, which adds significant warmth and charm.

Key Features and Amenities

The Rawhide home is equipped with a variety of features aimed at enhancing both style and functionality:

  • Kitchen: The kitchen is well-appointed, often including a large center island , 5-piece raised panel cabinet doors (sometimes with a rustic or "barnwood" trim package), a dishwasher, and an 18-foot refrigerator with an icemaker.
  • Master Suite: The main bedroom suite is designed as a private retreat. The luxurious en-suite bathroom frequently includes both a spa-like soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower (often a 48-inch stall), double sinks in the vanity, and a spacious walk-in closet for ample storage.
  • Construction: Structural and utility features include a 12-inch I-Beam frame, 2x4 exterior wall studs on 16-inch centers, Kraft Back Insulation, a total electric setup, and an air-ready furnace with 200 AMP electrical service.
  • Finishes: Interior finishes commonly include a mix of flooring, such as trackless carpet with rebond pad and 16-inch tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. Other touches include Brushed Nickel hardware and mini-blinds throughout the home.

The Rawhide  are part of Kabco's MD series and can be customized with various options, allowing buyers to personalize the home to their taste, choosing between a more rustic feel or a modern gray and white color scheme.
